Meet and Greet with Rev. Holly Norwick & Family

Saturday, February 8th at Noon in The Fellowship Room

On Saturday, February 8th, the Search Committee will host a “Meet and Greet” with The Reverend Doctor Holly Norwick so the Pastor’s family and our church family can meet and share a meal. On Sunday, February 9th, the candidate will be the worship leader and give the sermon. Following the worship service, we will attend the Annual Meeting and a Special Congregational Meeting to vote on the call for our new pastor.

​Annual Meeting

Sunday, February 9th, After Worship in the Sanctuary

We will have two church meetings, Annual Meeting I on February 2nd and on February 9th, there will be Annual Meeting II with a Special Congregational Meeting. Both meetings will be held right after worship. There will be special fellowship times after both meetings. February 2nd will be a celebration of Pastor Jack's time with us and February 9th will be a reception for the new pastor.  Also, during the meeting on the 9th, we are going to have a movie for the kids – Joseph in the amazing technicolor Dreamcoat in the basement during the annual meeting after church .   Also hot chocolate bar.  There is a lunch following the annual meeting upstairs in the fellowship hall  Click here to see the Warrants for these meetings.

Youth United Grades 4-12

Friday, February 7th, 6:30pm to 8:30pm at First Church Sunday School Area

Youth United is a faith-based, community collaboration, youth social group for grades 4-12th. This is a community-wide group for any kid, from any church, with or without one. We are aiming to create a safe space where our children can be surrounded by positivity and good morals.  Tonight is movie and we are playing Bruce Almighty. Main Street Tavern Fundraising Night

Thursday, February 27th, 4:00 to 10:00pm at Main Street Tavern, 218 Main St., Monson

Once a month, First Church hosts a fundraising event at the Main Street Tavern, Monson.  First Church receives 10% of the evening’s proceeds.  The public is welcome to attend.  Please stop by and join friends for dinner or pick up some take out for the evening. Instead of holding a raffle, we are asking everyone in the congregation who would have participated in the raffle to put $5, $10, or more into the jar that Suzanne Kelley will be holding after today’s service. Church Council hopes that this No Raffle/Raffle will take some of the burden off those who must purchase raffle prizes each month.

Movie Night

Friday, April 11th, 6:30 in The Fellowship Hall

Movie night will be showing “The Passion” in the Fellowship Hall.  This movie is mainly for adults and any teenagers whose parents are OK with them viewing it. They need to know that adult discretion is highly encouraged because of the content.
